HAMLET ESTRELLA Executive Chef, 1st & Fresh^SM Catering
Hamlet Estrella has been a lifelong student of the culinary arts, and was formally trained after college graduation at the French Culinary Institute. Prior to joining the 1st & fresh catering team, Hamlet worked his way up through Manhattan’s culinary ranks including the notable Tom Colicchio where he worked for eight years. Hamlets time in the New York restaurants include those such as Craft Steak, 7 Square, and Oceo. A commitment to the true flavor of the food, quality ingredients, local sourcing, and exploding flavors are qualities that Hamlet maintains in his cooking style.
In addition to Hamlets successful restaurant career, Hamlet has also participated in two James Beard Foundation Dinners, headed a black tie dinner for UNICEF @ the United Nations and acted as Head Chef a variety of Charity Events in the Hamptons Social scene
