Chef Czechura has extensive experience in the world of culinary arts. He has competed in Germany for the World Culinary Olympics, 1996 and competed in Austria for the ice sculpture team "Fear No Ice". He has been published in the Gourmet Food magazine for recipe competition, and in Vegetarian Times for recipes prepared for the Culinary Olympic team. He has worked with many prestigious restaurants and hotels in Philadelphia from Ritz Carlton, Steven Starr, Blueberry Hill Inn, Bliss, and Marriott.
Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Chef Czechura received his training from The Restaurant School in 1991. Prior to joining ARAMARK, Chef Czechura received noted fame from having cooked for many prestigious chefs-Emeril Lagasse, George Perrier, Susanna Foo, Morimoto, Charlie Palmer, and Alfred Portale. He has had the honor to serve Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell, Philadelphia Mayor John F. Street, a host of celebrated sports figures and local dignitaries.
Some of his more outstanding accomplishments include:
- Awarded Gold and Bronze Medals for the World Culinary Olympics, 1996.
- Won first prize with the ice sculpture team "Fear No Ice" at Austria's F.I.S. events 1999.
- Voted Chef of the Year by the Philadelphia weekly newspaper, 1996.
- "Taste of South Jersey" Taster's Choice Awards-Best Food and Best in Show- categories, 2006.
- "Taste and Tour of the Countryside", Best Dessert Award, Brandywine Conference and Visitors Bureau 2008.
- Pro Chef Certification level 2 Feb 25th 2011 Culinary Institute of America.
